We are a whānau owned and run seafood restaurant in the heart of Wigram Skies, Christchurch. We have owned restaurants for just over five years now and we love taking care of people and crave the buzz of a full restaurant every day. We were brought up to believe that manaakitanga (the way in which you show hospitality towards your guests) is the ultimate measure of mana. “Ko te amorangi ki mua, ko te hāpai ō ki muri” (The leaders can’t perform their duties on the marae without the help and support of the cooks out the back). Well that’s us and we are proud to be out the back, doing what we do best!

Our vision for FUSH on day one started with Fish & Chips. We thought we could take it up a notch (hence the name FUSH - Real Fish & Chips) and that was our goal. We knew that if we nailed the perfect chip and cooked our ika (fish) from fresh to order every time and paired it with a house-made tartare sauce that we had a recipe for success. So that’s what we did, we took fish & chips bloody seriously and did our best to show the world what proper, real fish & chips could taste like.

Since then, we’ve made a few changes and while we still love the humble Fish & Chip meal (and it is our biggest seller by a country mile) we also love to mix things up a bit. From sweet potato fries, to pulled pork burgers, fried chicken, corn fritter stacks, cajun fried fish, soft shell crab and pineapple-lump wontons for dessert, there is something for everyone at FUSH.
