Dunedin has always had a strong café culture. It’s one of the reasons we decided to go south, but our connection ran a bit deeper – Mike Allpress’ father, Bruce, is originally from Dunedin and we wanted to be closer to our growing South Island customer base. Mainly though, it just felt right. When we opened in 2011, we were welcomed with open arms by the local community and even now when you enter the café you’ll notice our regulars, from all aspects of Dunedin life, who seem very at home in our little, honest café.
