Take a break on the deck with some fresh kai (food) or delicious roasted coffee while watching the takahē, one of our country’s rarest birds and a national icon of conservation.

Our cabinet changes frequently and includes daily specials. We make the most of seasonal local produce and are inspired by Māori ingredients. There’s a special children’s menu and we cater for a variety of dietary requirements including vegetarian, vegan, dairy and gluten free. Just watch out for the kākā!  These cheeky birds are regular visitors to our tables.

You don’t need a ticket into the Pukaha National Wildlife Center to enjoy our offerings - we welcome all passers-by!
